I think the younger kid's are exposed to new technology and multimedia the better off they will be in their future. It is our responsibility as teachers to expose them to new ways of presenting information and creating projects. At our age in college, it is hard for me to learn new programs and the more we use them the easier they become. I hope to give my future students more exposure to technology then I even had. In my classroom I hope to use moviemaker, powerpoint, excel, and maybe even smartboard.

I think multimedia in the classroom is a great thing for students. It allows them to learn about different things from relating to media. Being a student I like being able to watch movies, and learn from them. I find it easier to learn when I have visuals. When I become a teacher I will try to incorporate multimedia as much as possible. I think that powerpoints are a good example of using multimedia also. It allows students to broaden their horizons.

I feel that Multimedia is a good thing for the classroom. I feel that it helps the children know what they are talking about and it will help the students who learn best by hands on experiences.

I think that using multimedia in the classroom is an awesome idea. It's definitely an important thing to learn how to use properly because in the future as an adult, these students are going to be required to manipulate all different kinds of multimedia. It's important to get the basics down because technology advances so quickly, you don't want to be left behind.

I feel that the using multimedia in the classroom to a good way to expand the minds of students and also to introduce them to the infinite possibilities the media presents us with. I took a class last semester that was almost completely multimedia. We watched several movies and I felt that i learned a great deal from my participation in that class. When I am a teacher I want to incorporate multimedia into my classroom not only for the education purposes but because it is also a good way to give students a break from the normal classroom routine. It allows them to have fun while learning.

I am so excited to read how you plan to integrate multimedia in your future classrooms. Multimedia such as digital movies can be used in any curricular area. The example above could be used in a history class as a way to re-create a historical moment using digital images and actual audio broadcasts found on the Internet. Take a minute and check it out.

What historical moment could you re-create?

since I am going to be a special education teacher I really feel that it will be more of me presenting the technology instead of too much student usage. I know that i will teach basic computer usage skills to my students. I think that the more technology I use in the classroom the more that students will learn because the way that the information was presented was interesting to the students.

I think having multimedia in the classroom is a great. I believe this because it will expand the knowledge of young kids to see a variety of different things. Having them make videos or use images from a camera will help them even when they are older too. I feel it will be a great source to cover in my classroom because I want my children to be able to have unique experiences with fun and interesting items. It something that they can keep and look back on when they are older and see the things they creative when they were young kids themselves. Even just watching the different videos or music kids that other people post can help expand their learning skills too.
