since I am going to be a special education teacher I really feel that it will be more of me presenting the technology instead of too much student usage. I know that i will teach basic computer usage skills to my students. I think that the more technology I use in the classroom the more that students will learn because the way that the information was presented was interesting to the students.

i think you made a great point. i am an early childhood major.. i thought how in the world am i going to use this.. but i realized its never to early to introduce some technological ideas.
I do agree with Brooke, it is never too early to start integrating multimedia or technology into the classroom. Students in early grades probably know more about computers than us! The sooner children are exposed to an idea the more comfortable they will feel using it on their own.
